We have more or less finished reclaiming Beltwalls. Signs of a sad and futile struggle were everywhere. Bodies stabbed to death in their beds, corpses rotting everywhere, some even trying to finish their job of entombing their fallen comrades. We have found a note laying in the mines of what was presumably the last survivor of the First Beltwalls confirming the travesty that took place here. We came armed to beat back the goblin hordes that were alleged to have brought down the original inhabitants of this fortress, but were a bit shocked to find that, at least for the moment, they are not hostile&#

I know this will be my last entry… There is no way around it. I'm writing this as I hide from the hordes that have infiltrated our fortress, hoping my tale will be done before they find me. Early in the summer the goblins were starting to get bold and attacking the trade caravans, even going as far as to murder the human trader's guild. However, there came a time when they attacked without provocation, and to say the least we were unprepared.
